We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Kings College Hospital London. This role involves supporting the Pharmacy Manager and providing leadership and management for all Pharmacy Services as the Responsible Pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services in line with national and local standards.
- Provide leadership and act as a role model for the support staff at KCH outpatient pharmacy.
- Fulfill statutory responsibilities as mandated by the General Pharmaceutical Council and Department of Health.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality and timely outpatient services for patients.
- Foster effective working relationships with prescribers.
- Participate in the development of additional clinical or patient-centered services.
- Aid in optimizing and developing the overall profitability of the business.
- Support the efficient management and administration of the pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate closely with the Superintendent Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager.
- Work with other pharmacists to minimize the use of locum pharmacists.
- Partner with specialist clinical pharmacists and service leads to enhance medicine management and optimization for patients, carers, and medical staff.

Qualifications
- Registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Evidence of advanced clinical knowledge, a postgraduate clinical qualification, or equivalent experience of at least 18 months.
- Experience as a qualified pharmacist in various settings and roles, including temporary or day-to-day management.
- Experience in developing a business or team, or contributing to a new team.
- High degree of self-motivation, with the ability to organize and prioritize work and implement agreed ideas into practice.
- Pragmatic, methodical, systematic, and resilient.
