George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Pharmacy Assistant to specialize in procurement and homecare within our dynamic pharmacy department. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care by ensuring the effective management of pharmaceutical supplies and supporting our homecare services.
Main Responsibilities
- Dispensing medications in both hospital and community pharmacy settings.
- Managing stock distribution, goods receipt, and inventory within the main dispensary and ward stock areas.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely and safe delivery of services.
- Utilizing your strong computer and communication skills to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) recognized by the GPhC.
- Previous experience in dispensing within a hospital or community pharmacy.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
