We are excited to announce an expansion opportunity for GPhC registered Pharmacy Technicians at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. This position is ideal for those currently in community pharmacy or other sectors, with no prior hospital pharmacy experience required. This is a band 4/5 progression post, with the band 5 role covering accredited checking and leadership development if not already obtained.
We offer comprehensive in-house competency training, including supervisory and leadership skills, which will equip you for hands-on line management responsibilities once you are competent. Main Duties of the Job- Patient Care: Delivering excellent care to inpatients, outpatients, and external care units.
- Pharmacy Services: Utilizing the EPIC electronic prescribing system and Omnicell drug cabinets to ensure an accurate, timely, and cost-effective service.
- Prescription Management: Accurate labelling, dispensing, and checking of a wide range of prescription types, including controlled drugs, clinical trials, total parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy, home IV, and palliative care.
- Medicines Management: Participating in rotations that involve direct patient contact, medication histories, reconciliation, safe usage of prescribed medicines, and patient counselling on new medications.
- Competency Training: Completion of competency units in each area before independent work is expected.
