As a Senior Rotational Pharmacist, your role involves maintaining a high level of generalist pharmaceutical knowledge while actively developing and maintaining specialist expertise in a chosen specialty.
This includes providing support, education, and development to junior pharmacists.
Your responsibilities extend to offering professional, managerial, and clinical leadership to the pharmacy team, ensuring compliance with medicines legislation and alignment with patient-focused principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain specialist therapeutic and pharmaceutical knowledge.
- Provide leadership to the pharmacy team in delivering pharmaceutical services.
- Support and mentor Foundation Pharmacists for leadership development.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring pharmacy services.
- Ensure compliance with Key Performance Indicators and medicines legislation.
- Manage day-to-day activities of pharmacy staff for a safe and effective service.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and guidelines.
- Review adverse clinical incidents and support strategies for risk minimization.
- Provide Medicines Governance support within the multidisciplinary team.
