We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at King’s College Hospital London. As a vital member of our Pharmacy Services, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary, including an annual bonus.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Pharmacy Manager to provide day-to-day leadership and management for all Pharmacy Services when acting as the Responsible Pharmacist.
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services at King’s College Hospital London, following national and local standards.
- Provide leadership and act as a role model for the support staff of KCH outpatient pharmacy.
- Fulfil statutory responsibilities as required by the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Department of Health.
- Contribute to the development of a high-quality and timely outpatient service for patients.
- Develop effective working relationships with prescribers.
- Contribute to the development of appropriate additional clinical or patient-centered services.
- Contribute to the optimization and development of the overall profitability of the business.
- Contribute to the efficient management and administration of the business.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist with relevant qualifications.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of national and local pharmacy standards and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
