As the Digital Lead Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the EPMA component of the Trust EPR system, ensuring safe clinical practice at RJAH. Your responsibilities include providing leadership in digital innovation for medicines management, overseeing training for digital systems, and managing the Pharmacy team assigned to EPMA.
Main Responsibilities
- Digital Pharmacy Leadership: Work autonomously, collaborating with clinicians and senior managers. Deliver the Trust’s Digital Programme for medicines with a focus on safe technology implementation. Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of electronic prescribing and administration in the Trust EPR system.
- Risk Management and Quality Assurance: Ensure risk management and quality assurance for the electronic prescribing and administration system. Establish contingency plans for computer system failure related to electronic prescribing and medicines administration.
- Collaboration and Oversight: Collaborate with the EPR Team and Digital Programme team, providing Pharmacist oversight for digital initiatives impacting medicines optimization. Promote and support digital innovation in Pharmacy and across the Trust’s systems and processes related to medicines.
- Senior Level Engagement: Work at a senior level, providing expert medicines optimization input in planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of systems and services. Optimize Pharmacy digital systems to meet financial and clinical governance assurance framework requirements.
- Team Development: Lead the Pharmacy digital and procurement team, ensuring optimal use of systems for best value in medicines procurement.
