The successful candidate will provide high-quality medicines optimisation for the Trust. You will deliver clinical pharmacy services to a designated group of wards under the supervision of a Senior Clinical Pharmacist, participating in rotations across various ward specialties. These rotations, supported by a practice supervisor, will help you develop your skills and knowledge in numerous areas. Our Education and Training Department is dedicated to supporting the professional growth of our staff.

If you are ready to expand your expertise in hospital pharmacy, we are here to support you. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe, economical, effective, and evidence-based use of medications. With the assistance of our Medicines Management Technicians, you will ensure patients and carers understand their medication regimens upon discharge, providing counselling and coordinating with primary care colleagues for continuity of care.

Your rotations will include training in the Medicines Information service, where you will develop skills in addressing inquiries on a variety of topics. While on the ward, you will implement the Trust Medicines Formulary and guide medical staff on adherence to Trust guidelines. All staff members are expected to promote and support adherence to antimicrobial guidelines and ensure safe and appropriate prescribing within the trust.
