This role offers a fantastic opportunity for professional growth as a Clinical Pharmacist, with the possibility to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy. We welcome applications from registered pharmacists across various sectors. This permanent position provides flexibility regarding base location within North Powys and full-time hours.
You will collaborate with an expanding team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, supported by the Health Board Medicines Management team and an experienced multidisciplinary workforce, including GPs. Your role will be critical in enhancing the quality of care and operational efficiency concerning medicines across Powys, one of the UK’s most scenic areas. Your communication, clinical, and innovative skills will showcase the significant contributions of pharmacy professionals to patient care and multidisciplinary teams.
Main Duties of the Job
As part of the Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) community services team, you will provide Medicines Management support to designated community hospital wards, departments, and community teams. This role may also involve reviewing patients in their own homes. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) at PTHB.
