Summary:
- Contribute to the development of clinical governance and medicines safety services.
- Support internal governance workstreams within the primary care contracting team.
- Attend Community Pharmacy meetings and plan community pharmacy work programmes.
- Develop specialist medicines optimisation governance and safety packages.
- Co-ordinate support and advice to improve the safety and quality of prescribing.
- Undertake quality monitoring governance visits and produce detailed reports.
- Implement local and national governance policies and propose changes to practices.
- Co-ordinate the production of guidance, policies, and procedures related to community pharmacy.
- Facilitate partnerships for community pharmacies with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Support the assessment and review of community pharmacy services.
- Investigate medicines incidents in community pharmacies.
- Provide medicines optimisation advice to patients, carers, and service users.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and lead promotional initiatives.
- Liaise with senior staff and share good practice across local authorities.
