Salary: £21 per group induction (30 mins) delivered, £30 per 1‑1 induction (45 mins) delivered, and £35 per personal training session (60 mins) delivered.
Please Read Before Applying: This is a freelance opportunity for an average of 2 recurring group bookings per month. Successful candidates must be registered as self‑employed and hold a minimum of £5 million Professional Indemnity Cover within their insurance. The role requires weekday evening and weekend availability.
Rent‑free opportunity: Our trainers do not need to pay gym rent or commit to free shift hours to deliver PT at our sites.
The role will involve delivering gym induction sessions in small groups and 1‑1 settings depending on client requests, upselling, and delivering our Personal Training services. This is a great opportunity for any self‑employed trainers looking to earn additional income, with potential to develop a PT client base within the sites where inductions are delivered.
Job specifics will include:
- Delivering comprehensive group gym facility inductions covering the gym, studio, and leisure areas
- On request, delivering specialised 1‑1 gym induction sessions that include an additional PT consultation and taster session
- Delivering planned, client‑specific personal training sessions
- Managing administration duties, such as marking attendance for any appointments delivered on our platform
- Providing in‑depth group inductions with demonstrations of all cardiovascular equipment, resistance equipment, and accessory equipment such as free weights
- Ensuring each induction session addresses health and safety protocols and leisure facility rules
- Updating attendance records for all appointments in a timely manner
- Liaising with Motive8 head‑office management to ensure consistent, professional delivery
- Providing advice and guidance to help residents succeed with their fitness journeys
You will be an effective communicator, maintaining professional communication between all relevant parties, and working with the guidelines provided on the essentials to be covered within an induction. Experience in delivering fitness training sessions and a confident, articulate approach to work are required. In addition, you must hold valid self‑employed insurance (or be willing to obtain it) and have a valid Level 3 Personal Training Certification to be considered for the role.
