Our client is seeking a Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative and personal assistant support to Senior Lawyers and Partners within their Corporate Practice Group. This is a full-time position offered on a fixed-term contract basis as an interim solution, with the potential for a permanent hire. The successful candidate must have experience within the legal sector and be able to manage multiple responsibilities with discretion, professionalism, and efficiency.
Job Duties:
- Act as first point of contact for correspondence and telephone calls
- Manage diaries and inboxes for senior legal staff
- Assist with matter administration and client billing
- Format documents and agreements
- Organise internal and external events and engagements
- Book travel, transport, and accommodation
- Maintain databases, filing systems, and administrative procedures
- Perform word processing, transcription, and typing tasks
- Support meeting and presentation preparation
- Oversee records management and document control
- Schedule meetings and manage meeting logistics
- Organise business trips, client meetings, and small events
- Prepare biographies and collateral packs for client engagement
- Maintain client and personal contact lists, including M&BD activities
- Update social media profiles and CRM systems for senior legal staff
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a legal secretarial or personal assistant role
- Familiarity with legal documentation and terminology
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word
- Accurate and efficient typing and transcription skills
- Relevant secretarial or administrative qualifications (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
