Our client, the world\βs largest insurance company, is experiencing growth and is seeking an Insurance Manager to join their Guernsey team during this exciting period. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years\β experience in the insurance industry and must be at least DIP CII qualified or hold a similar qualification and be able to relocate to Guernsey.
Job Duties:
- Manage the day-to-day insurance servicing of a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Provide technical support to junior team members to ensure high standards in the management of regulated insurance and reinsurance companies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the underwriting requirements of clients and the contractual frameworks in which they operate.
- Process insurance transactions within set parameters, liaising with third parties to ensure compliance and referring transactions to the board as needed.
- Manage specific client email inboxes where necessary.
- Prepare and/or review insurance and reinsurance policy documentation, quotations, and slips.
- Maintain registers of (re)insurance documentation and client insurance programmes.
- Review and approve premium and claims bordereaux.
- Oversee claims determination and handling processes.
- Assist with audits of outsourced activities.
- Review and handle complaints effectively.
- Maintain regular contact and management of clients.
- Assist in coordinating client Underwriting Committee and Board Meetings, including preparation of reports for meeting papers.
- Serve as the Manager Representative on client-specific Underwriting Committees as required.
- Advise on insurance developments and market conditions.
- Assist with ad hoc project work as requested.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years\β experience in the insurance industry.
- At least DIP CII qualified or possess a similar qualification.
- Strong focus on client service to ensure clients receive a high standard of service at all times.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to support the wider team, demonstrating attention to detail, time management, and prioritisation skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
