Procurement Lead (PT)

Our client is seeking a Procurement Lead to join their Finance team in Guernsey or Jersey. This pivotal role will oversee the organisation\’s sourcing capabilities, manage supplier relationships, and deliver value through effective procurement strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure best practices, cost efficiency, and alignment with sustainability goals. Initially, this position will be part-time, requiring three days per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time role as both the position and the business expand. The role demands a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of procurement while delivering results that align with organisational objectives.

Job Duties

• Develop and maintain procurement policies and guidelines to support business needs.
• Deliver the procurement strategy across all spend areas.
• Lead complex negotiations to optimise the organisation\’s commercial position.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including supplier risk management.
• Conduct market tenders and manage supplier evaluations.
• Draft contracts based on standard terms and conditions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Ensure procurement processes align with sustainability objectives.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
• Develop and implement supplier risk management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards, sourcing tools, and data security policies.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
• Educated to degree level.
• Strong ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience delivering complex deals and managing tender processes.
• Knowledge of contract drafting and understanding of contractual terms.
