About the Role

We are seeking a caring, proactive, and committed Mental Health Support Worker to join our day team. You'll support individuals with a range of mental health needs, helping them to live safe, fulfilling, and independent lives within a residential or supported living setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support service users with daily routines including personal care, meal preparation, medication, and activities
  • Encourage independence and empower individuals to work towards personal goals
  • Build therapeutic relationships based on trust, empathy, and dignity
  • Promote and support mental and emotional well-being
  • Record daily notes, update care plans, and attend handovers
  • Assist in managing behaviours that challenge using approved strategies (if trained)
  • Engage clients in meaningful daytime activities both in-house and in the community
