Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Risk, Regulation, and FinTech Consultant to join their growing team. This role is based in Jersey/Guernsey and offers a unique opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients in the financial services industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on complex regulatory landscapes, managing project teams, and ensuring compliance with financial crime regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in high-profile projects, ranging from financial technology implementation to risk management.
Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery teams, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are completed to a high standard.
- Take overall responsibility for client project deliverables and the creation of proposal documents.
- Provide tailored services to clients, working closely with them to understand their needs and requirements.
- Deliver a range of assignments while managing project teams and working collaboratively with clients and the company network firms.
- Assist clients in improving their business performance and managing risks to ensure they can respond quickly and effectively.
- Coach and support the development of junior team members.
- Ensure that all assigned projects comply with the company policy requirements.
- Stay up to date with local and international regulations in Jersey and Guernsey.
- Support the growth of the Risk, Reg, and FinTech proposition by contributing to strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, helping to expand the business.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years\’ experience working within financial services.
- At least 2 years of professional consulting experience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of anti-financial crime regulations across Jersey and Guernsey.
- Experience with organisational risk, compliance, and governance regimes.
- Familiarity with financial services industry technologies, including CLM workflows, screening and data providers, and transaction monitoring providers.
- Proven experience in leading teams, managing projects, and delivering results.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
