Our client is seeking a Senior Manager Finance Innovation & Transformation Lead for a fixed-term contract of 12 to 18 months, located in Guernsey or Jersey. This pivotal role involves acting as the central coordinator and delivery driver for the firm's finance transformation programme. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic advisor and change agent, ensuring that transformations in people, processes, systems, and data are delivered in an organised and strategic manner. The lead will support the Head of Finance and Finance Director in designing a future-ready finance function, including major financial management system upgrades and associated changes to the operating model. This role will leverage best practices and innovative technology to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and decision-making across the finance department. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of finance innovation and transformation within a dynamic organisation. Successful candidates will bring a strong background in finance and transformation while demonstrating outstanding project management capabilities. Job Duties:
- Develop and execute a holistic finance transformation strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the finance transformation programme plan and establish governance structures.
- Coordinate activities across all workstreams including systems, process redesign, change, and data.
- Redesign and optimise finance processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Produce insightful reports for leadership and governance groups.
- Manage risks and dependencies, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities.
- Track the programme budget and resource requirements while ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Partner with the People team to support behavioural change and staff readiness.
- Lead and mentor the finance transformation team while fostering a culture of innovation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Fully qualified accountant with a recognised UK professional designation.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance with a strong focus on transformation.
- Proven experience in delivering transformation or change programmes.
- Excellent project or programme management capabilities and strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to work across multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with experience in systems implementation.
