Our client is seeking a Talent Assistant Manager based in Jersey to support the day-to-day recruitment and talent operations for the Channel Islands. This position is offered on a temporary basis for a duration of 12 to 14 months. In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding various talent-related matters, contributing significantly to the talent agenda in the region.The principal focus of the role involves building a thorough understanding of the business unit's direction and managing talent-related topics to ensure the successful implementation of key projects. You will collaborate closely with local Talent Partners in Jersey and Guernsey, necessitating a team-oriented and communicative approach.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Act as the primary talent contact in Jersey, supporting various talent operations.
  • Manage the recruitment process for experienced hires, alongside associated mobility and immigration requirements.
  • Coordinate careers fairs, including talent sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
  • Facilitate new starter inductions to support seamless integration into the team.
  • Provide guidance to the business regarding leavers and manage professional qualification administration.
  • Direct queries to relevant central teams as necessary to ensure effective communication.
  • Promote a culture of accountability by ensuring that policies are understood, followed, and regularly reviewed.
  • Maintain local relationships to enhance the brand and support the talent strategy.
  • Provide HR coordination for annual operational activities, including the performance and development process, LEAD, and annual pay reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with wider talent colleagues across the islands to align processes and drive efficiencies for the Talent Team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to talent management.
  • Understanding of a broad HR remit and contemporary HR practices.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments where quality delivery and client service are paramount.
  • Ability to be resilient, practical, and a self-starter, comfortable working autonomously or in teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel is preferred and will aid in data management and reporting.
