NIGHT SHIFT Operative / Trainee Surveyor

Our client is an environmental consultancy working with the rail sector across London. They offer a range of monitoring, testing and inspection services for London Underground, Network Rail and other construction projects. They are looking for a trained operative with experience in some of the following, who is interested in asbestos surveying / occupational health:
- Confined space trained, no issue working under station platforms within ‘inverts’. Working in road bridge confined spaces and culverts.
- Working at Height on mobile scaffold towers, podiums, and MEWPs/Cherry Pickers. PASMA trained and experienced setting up mobile towers would be a big plus, likewise anyone who has IPAF certification for operating MEWP/Cherry Pickers.
- Working on road structures (bridges etc) within Traffic Management zones (A406, A40 etc) around London. We undertake surveys for the structures for Asbestos.
- Walking up to 4km nightly on ballast tracks, in tunnels and outside.
- Digging and carrying A4 filled bags of ballast stones (for contaminant analysis) within a team of operatives along track sections within tunnels.
Candidates must be physically fit and strong and be very comfortable with both heights and confined spaces.
Previous experience working night shifts would be preferred.
Rail industry experience would be an advantage.
