Vacancies across the UK to suit all levels of scientists. The position of laboratory chemist is a varied and exciting role, with candidates being hands on with the production of chemical materials. The role also involves operating, calibrating & developing test instruments.

Main objectives are:

  • Assist in lab operations at the Lab
  • Produce reference materials, in accordance with established procedures
  • Testing and verifying reference material
  • Work to established in-house procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 & 17034
  • Conduct weekly/monthly lab checks
  • Carry out regular stability and homogeneity testing
  • Waste management
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness
  • Undertake good housekeeping

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Experience in a High Throughput Testing lab is essential. Strong understanding of the Good Lab Practice. GCSE – Maths, English, Science (C [5] or higher). Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products.
