Job Description

The Role is to manage and lead the delivery of the Society’s corporate, charitable and revenue development content, including sales and fundraising B2C and B2B campaigns. Working closely with communications, marketing and sales colleagues you will generate engaging content across a variety of platforms including web, email, offline publications, PR and social media.

The Ideal Candidate will be an experienced content or publicity marketer, ideally (but not necessarily) with a Journalism, PR, English or Communications degree or a professional writing qualification. You must be able to demonstrate a minimum of two years’ prior content writing, perhaps with a portfolio of your work. Candidates from a similar ethical or ‘cause-related’ organisation or sector would be of particular interest. A vegetarian or vegan candidate is definitely preferred.

Seeing as you will be required to edit and proofread blogs, articles and social posts – in addition to generating them – a strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask under pressure and regularly hit deadlines are all crucial.

The role can be conducted from home or hybrid, with approx’ one day per week office attendance (in central Manchester) for meetings etc – although this could ultimately rise, dependent on the future development of the role and the organisation.

To Apply respond here and please include a brief covering note. First interviews with our client will be held in March.

Closing date for applications: Monday 17-March 2025.
