Our Client, established 1992, is a highly influential and successful supplier of specialist technology to the construction, rail, nuclear, automotive, pharma and manufacturing sectors. The company has been decorated with multiple industry and export awards, including (twice) listed in the Sunday Times 100 FastTrack Businesses of the Year.
The Role: You will play a key role in delivering creative support across multiple departments within the company. You’ll help bring our market proposition to life through high-quality, engaging design across digital and print platforms. The conception, design and delivery of creative artwork will include:
- Website banners, brand pages, web adverts, social media, graphics, animated GIFs and infographics
- Email campaign artwork
- PowerPoint and presentation design
- Printed materials including posters, leaflets, brochures, catalogues and exhibition stand graphics
- Internal communications and brand materials
You will also be expected to contribute creative ideas and concepts to campaigns and brand initiatives and also help maintain product manuals and other technical documents. The opportunity, which is available on a 6-9 month maternity cover contract basis, will be ideal for an experienced designer who is a self-starter, confident in taking ownership of projects and generating creative ideas. You’ll be encouraged to challenge briefs, propose new concepts and generate ideas to enhance the brand, working in a close-knit team and collaborating with stakeholders across the business.
The Ideal Candidate will be a proven designer with 4-5 years’ commercial graphic design experience, ideally (but not necessarily) in a technical, engineering or manufacturing organisation. You will have worked across digital/web/print design, with a strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and also be confident in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Strong typography, layout and visual storytelling skills are also desired by our client. Prior experience of videography/photography – especially in Premiere Pro and/or AfterEffects – would be advantageous.
Preferably qualified in Graphic Design to degree or diploma level, you will be highly organised with strong time-management skills, able to hit deadlines and display a collaborative approach when working closely with colleagues at all levels of the business.
