Our client, a city centre Letting/Property Management Agency, due to on-going growth, is keen to secure a new member to join their busy, friendly team. You must have a full clean driving licence, bags of common sense, offer great customer service and a positive, hard-working attitude. The successful person will have an ‘eye for detail’, possess excellent communication and organisational skills together with strong area knowledge of Edinburgh and surrounding.
The Role
- Conduct property inspections
- Assist at times with void, check-in, check-out inspections
- Assess the condition of properties, identifying maintenance issues, health and safety risks, and compliance concerns
- Ensure properties meet statutory requirements (e.g. gas safety, electrical safety, fire safety including smoke alarms)
- Take clear photographic evidence, detailed inspection notes and complete digital report
Reporting & Documentation
- Complete inspection reports accurately and within required timescales
- Record defects, hazards, and recommended remedial actions
- Update property management systems and maintain accurate records
- Escalate urgent issues appropriately
Maintenance & Compliance
- Liaise with property managers, contractors, and landlords regarding required works
- Monitor completion of remedial actions following inspections
- Support compliance audits and regulatory inspections
- Assist with risk assessments and compliance checks
Tenant & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate professionally with tenants, landlords, and colleagues
- Arrange and confirm inspection appointments
- Provide clear explanations of findings and next steps where required
General Duties
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company policies and procedures
- Adhere to health and safety requirements at all times
- Travel between properties as required
- Undertake any other reasonable duties related to the role
