Our client, a fast-growing, independent Property Management Company operating across Scotland and England, is looking for a switched-on Accounts Assistant to join the team.
Experience in purchase ledger, accounts payable or currently working in a similar role would be desirable.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process high volumes of purchase invoices
- Reconcile supplier statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate purchase ledger records in accounting system Xero and the property management system SME
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries promptly.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc administrative and reporting tasks.
About You
- Proven experience in a purchase ledger, accounts payable, or similar finance role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when working with high volumes.
- Proficiency with Xero and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with suppliers and colleagues.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
