Our client is keen to secure a driven individual to join their ‘Super Friendly’, professional Property team. A positive work ethic together with a genuine ‘can do’ attitude will fit well within this proactive, customer focused Property Agency.
The role is high paced and would suit an enthusiastic and confident individual who is focused on providing a high level of customer care and takes pride in their work. Ideally, the successful applicant will have one years’ experience in a client facing role, preferably within the property industry. ARLA qualified or similar preferable (or happy to work towards). A high level of attention to detail is required along with a good level of IT literacy. Good knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas would be advantageous.
The role of Assistant Property Manager is an integral part of the team. The successful applicant will be responsible for improving and delivering high levels of customer service, whilst helping to strengthen the brand and grow the portfolio.
Your role will cover:
- Overseeing maintenance reports and ensure jobs are completed timeously
- Obtaining quotes from various contractors and presenting them to landlords
- Carrying out check in and check out inspections
- Processing deposit returns
- Carrying out routine inspections and meeting with tenants over any concerns regarding the property
- Meeting with landlords to discuss maintenance if required
- Helping to build, review and ensure approved contractors maintain high levels of work
- Building client relationships and strengthen the portfolios performance
- Allocate invoices/expenditure to property accounts
- Preparing and submitting key property requirements such as HMO license applications
- Organising safety certificates and processing remedial works
- Managing contractor keys
- Playing an active role in the office and working effectively in a small team
Skill set:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas
- Confident in a social environment and dealing with people face to face
- High level of organisation
- Good level of general IT literacy
- Ability to build and maintain good relationships with tenants, landlords and contractors
- Clean driving licence
- ARLA qualified or similar preferable (or happy to work towards)
- 1 years’ experience of working in a client facing role within property is preferable
