The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Lead D365 Developer/Technical Solution Architect to lead the design, development and implementation of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. Working closely with delivery teams and stakeholders, you will define architecture, guide implementation and ensure solutions are secure, scalable and maintainable.
Core Accountabilities
- Define architecture patterns and technical roadmaps
- Work with service designers refining user stories and new requirements
- Design and develop plugins, APIs, integrations and customisations using C# and JavaScript
- Lead Dataverse, model-driven app design
- Provide technical governance and code review oversight
- Guide DevOps, release management and testing standards
- Mentor developers and support capability growth
About You
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Developer, Technical Lead, Solution Architect or Lead D365 Consultant.
- Extensive experience delivering solutions across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong expertise in Dataverse, model-driven app development and solution design.
- Hands-on development experience using C#, .NET, JavaScript and Dynamics 365 SDK.
- Experience designing and delivering integrations using APIs, Azure services and middleware technologies.
- Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 security models, governance and application lifecycle management.
- Experience implementing DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
- Experience mentoring and leading technical teams.
Desirable Experience
- Experience developing Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages solutions.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and cloud-first design principles.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum or multidisciplinary digital delivery teams.
- Experience delivering solutions within regulated or large-scale public sector environments.
- Knowledge of AI Builder, Copilot Studio and emerging Microsoft AI capabilities.
- Experience overseeing technical delivery across multiple workstreams or product teams.
- Understanding of data migration, data governance and master data management approaches.
Additional Information
For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.
SC - To be vetted we will usually expect a reasonable period of residency in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken. For this role this will need to be 5 years.

Relocation & Property
The CAA will be relocating from Aviation House (Our Gatwick Office) to new premises in a few yearsβ time. Our move is driven by strategic, operational and environmental considerations.
We will be moving to a new local home, up to a 15-mile radius of Aviation House, to minimise disruption for our valued colleagues and customers.
We are now working with colleagues and visitors to understand what we need in our new office, before we start our property search. We will sell Aviation House and land, vacate the site and move to new premises, but we do not expect to move before 2028
