A very exciting opportunity to join the first Wellness supergroup, comprising of a portfolio of 5 brands in the Fitness Industry.
As Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive omni-channel marketing strategies to elevate their strong brand presence and position in market, drive new lead acquisition, nurture membership retention and growth, and enhance member experience across all brands within the portfolio.
This person leverages their strong marketing and communications expertise from the leisure, fitness, wellness and health industries to develop innovative and impactful marketing campaigns, manage digital and traditional marketing channel performance, and ensure the brand’s messaging resonates with their diverse audiences across all channels.
The Role:
● Salary: £45,000 + bonus
● Working Hours: 40 hours p/w (minimum)
● Leave: 25 Days per annum (plus bank holidays).

The Role…
1. Marketing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with the studio’s goals and objectives.
- Identify target audiences and create segmented marketing strategies to reach and engage these groups effectively.
- Analyse market trends, competition, and member feedback to refine and optimise marketing efforts.
2. Campaign Management:
- Plan, execute and oversee marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, print, and events.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling content and promotional materials.
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
3. Digital Marketing:
- Manage the studio’s online presence, including website, social media profiles, and email marketing.
- Develop and execute SEO/SEM strategy with our agency to increase online visibility and drive traffic to the studio’s website.
- Assist in overseeing their Social Media Manager to utilise social media platforms to engage with current members, attract new members, and promote studio events and promotions.
4. Community Engagement:
- Assist their studios in building relationships with local businesses, influencers, and media to enhance the studio’s community presence.
- Assist in planning and executing community events, open houses, and member appreciation events to foster a sense of community and attract new members.
- Collaborate with fitness instructors and staff to create and promote special classes, workshops, and challenges.
5. Membership Growth and Retention:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
- Work closely with the commercial team to create compelling membership offers and promotions.
- Analyse membership data to identify trends and opportunities for growth and improvement.
6. Team Leadership:
- Assist in mentoring the marketing team and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide regular feedback and performance reviews to team members, identifying opportunities for professional development.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to marketing.
7. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Track and report on marketing expenses, ensuring all activities are within budget and provide a strong return on investment.
8. Software Management:
- Ensure full knowledge of Bsport and MBO to make the most of the marketing opportunities given via the marketing suites.

- Achieve membership acquisition and retention targets.
- Create and execute positive ROI marketing campaigns and activations.
- Increase MoM and YoY key performance indicators such as conversion rates, click-through rates, and return on ad spend.
- Increase brand awareness and positive perception in the market, evidenced by increased social media following and engagement, increased footfall and class occupancy, and positive brand reviews.
- Manage annual and monthly marketing spend.
- Enhanced team performance and positive team culture.
The Person…
- 5 years of strategic marketing and project management experience, with a background in communications, brand management, content marketing and digital marketing.
- Previous experience leading a marketing team, and cross functional teams across BAU and projects.
- Expert knowledge of marketing campaign and workflows.
- Knowledgeable of ever-evolving advertising and media landscape.
- Proactive, efficient, and flexible problem-solver with superb time, resource, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptionally strong communication skills, along with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Can support workflow optimisation, identifying gaps and opportunities to push for innovative solutions at scale, and capable of executing workflow changes where required.
- An analytical mindset with an interest in data and the ability to work from strategy to execution, and ability to provide in-depth post-campaign reports.
