As their Freelance Management Accountant, you'll become a trusted finance partner to the leadership team, helping drive informed decision‑making while supporting the financial operations of an ambitious and expanding organisation.

Working with leading residential and commercial partners across London, they create engaging wellbeing experiences that help people live healthier, happier lives. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Freelance Management Accountant to support their finance function on a part‑time basis.
The Role:
- Salary: £20k (full time equivalent £50k)
- Working Pattern: 2 days per week
- Location: Remote working with minimum 2 days per month on site.
- Reporting to: Founder
Finance Reporting + Business Insights:
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts, providing clear visibility of financial performance.
- Deliver meaningful reporting and analysis to support commercial and operational decision‑making.
- Monitor key financial trends and identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Cashflow + Financial Control:
- Maintain rolling cashflow forecasts to support business planning and liquidity management.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reconciliations.
- Support the development of robust financial controls and reporting processes.
Payroll, Tax + Compliance:
- Manage end‑to‑end payroll processes and associated compliance requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, P11Ds, PSAs, CT61s, and auto‑enrolment obligations.
- Ensure the business remains compliant with all relevant financial and statutory requirements.
Operational Finance:
- Oversee invoicing, credit control, and debtor management activities.
- Work closely with operational stakeholders to ensure financial information is accurate and timely.
- Support ad hoc financial projects, reporting requirements, and business initiatives as the company evolves.
The Person:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification (or significant relevant experience)
- Proven experience preparing management accounts and undertaking bookkeeping duties
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll, P11D, PSA, VAT, CT61, and auto‑enrolment requirements
- Excellent Excel and accounting software skills (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar)
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
