An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven and strategically minded Finance Director to join a fast‑growing premium wellness brand at a pivotal stage of its expansion journey. This is far more than a traditional finance role. The business is seeking a forward‑thinking financial leader who not only understands the numbers, but can translate financial insight into commercial action — someone who can identify patterns, unlock opportunities, challenge assumptions and help shape the strategic direction of the business.

As a trusted advisor to the Founder and leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving sustainable growth, improving profitability, strengthening operational performance, and building the financial infrastructure needed to scale confidently. This fractional opportunity is ideal for a senior finance professional who thrives in entrepreneurial, high‑growth environments and enjoys balancing hands‑on financial leadership with strategic influence.

The Role

  • Salary: Competitive (pro‑rated / day rate)
  • Working Pattern: Fractional / Part‑time (flexible)
  • Location: West London (hybrid working)
  • Reporting to: Founder / CEO
  • Scope: Strategic finance, commercial insight & financial leadership

The Opportunity

Operating within a dynamic multi‑site, experience‑led wellness business, the Finance Director will bring commercial clarity, strategic oversight, and financial rigour across every area of the organisation. You will act as both a strategic partner and operational leader — helping the business understand where it creates value, where efficiencies can be unlocked, and how financial planning can directly support ambitious commercial goals. The successful candidate will combine analytical excellence with commercial instinct, using data to influence decisions, improve performance, and drive long‑term success.

The Role

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner closely with the Founder and senior leadership team to shape business strategy and support ambitious growth plans. Translate financial performance into meaningful commercial insight that drives decision‑making across the business. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with expansion objectives, profitability targets, and long‑term value creation. Provide robust analysis on business performance, opportunities, trends, and operational risks. Act as a trusted advisor across both strategic planning and day‑to‑day commercial decision‑making.
  • Financial Planning + Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and long‑range financial modelling. Build sophisticated yet practical financial models to support scaling, investment decisions, and future growth. Develop reporting frameworks and KPI dashboards that provide visibility across revenue, profitability, labour, operational costs, and site performance. Analyse trends and patterns within the business to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimisation, and improved operational efficiency. Deliver insightful performance reporting with clear recommendations and actionable next steps.
  • Commercial + Operational Finance: Work cross‑functionally with operational leaders to improve margins, increase efficiency, and optimise business performance. Evaluate pricing strategies, customer economics, membership models, and ancillary revenue streams. Identify creative and commercially robust ways to reduce costs without compromising customer experience or growth potential. Support investment appraisal, business cases, and new site feasibility analysis. Drive a culture of commercial accountability across the organisation.
  • Cashflow + Financial Control: Oversee cashflow forecasting and working capital management to ensure strong financial health and resilience. Implement and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and operational processes. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across the business. Manage financial risk and maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. Build scalable financial discipline appropriate for a rapidly growing business.
  • Growth + Investment Support: Support fundraising activity, investor reporting, and financial due diligence processes. Produce high‑quality board reporting and strategic financial presentations. Build confidence among investors, stakeholders, and leadership through clear financial visibility and credible forecasting. Support strategic initiatives, partnerships, and expansion opportunities with commercially grounded financial analysis.
  • Systems + Process Improvement: Review, optimise, and modernise financial systems, reporting tools, and operational processes. Improve the quality, accessibility, and use of financial data across the organisation. Introduce scalable processes and automation to support continued growth. Ensure the finance function evolves alongside the business and remains agile, efficient, and future‑focused.
