A fast-growing, mission-driven FMCG brand within the health and wellness space is seeking a Business Development Executive (Retail) to accelerate its presence across the UK retail scene. This is an entry-level, field-based role ideal for graduates or early career professionals eager to break into sales.

The role offers hands‑on experience driving retail growth while developing key sales skills, including negotiation, account management, and relationship building.

The Basics:

ā— Salary: Ā£28k-Ā£30k

ā— Level: Graduate/entry-level opportunity!

ā— Working Hours: Full-time

ā— Location: London, with travel around the capital as part of role

ā— Reporting to: Head of Wholesale

The Role…

1. Retail Activation + Account Growth

  • Own and drive growth across a high-performing region of London, managing multiple retail accounts

  • Regularly visit stores to secure prime shelf space, off‑fixture displays, and new product listings

  • Expand the brand’s presence and visibility in grocery, convenience, and quick‑service retail outlets

  • Prospect and win new retail accounts, supporting local promotions and campaigns

2. Relationship Management

  • Build strong, lasting relationships with store managers, staff, and independent stockists

  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute in‑store activations, sampling, and promotional missions

  • Be the face of the brand in retail locations, promoting products and brand values

3. Learning + Development

  • Dedicate time weekly to a personal project, driving innovative sales opportunities

  • Learn the fundamentals of retail sales, negotiation, and category management

  • Gain hands‑on experience in commercial strategy, account development, and field sales execution

The Person…

  • Graduate‑level or post‑graduate candidate; no prior FMCG experience required

  • Highly motivated individual with a strong interest in fitness, sport, or climbing

  • Confident communicator, comfortable pitching and presenting to gym owners

  • Enjoys being out in the field and thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on role

  • Organised and adaptable, with strong time management and route‑planning skills

  • Naturally personable and comfortable engaging communities at events and weekends

  • Passionate about health, wellness, and sustainability

  • Curious, eager to learn, and motivated to build a long‑term career in sales or FMCG
