We're looking for an Assistant Studio Manager to join a well-established boutique fitness brand. This is a key role in the day-to-day running of the studio, ensuring every member receives an exceptional experience while supporting the Studio Manager in delivering operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role, spending significant time on the Front of House, leading by example, coaching the team and ensuring the studio operates to the highest standards.

The Assistant Studio Manager supports studio performance through strong operational execution, people development and consistent delivery of company standards. Working closely with the Studio Manager and Front of House team, the Assistant Studio Manager helps create a positive, high-performing culture where both members and team thrive.

The Basics:

  • Salary: £32,500
  • Location: Oxford Circus
  • Working hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) and 1 day every weekend. Shifts start as early as 5:45am and finish as late as 9:15pm so must be able to travel into and out of Central London for those times.

The Role:

  • Front of House Leadership: Lead regular Front of House shifts, acting as the face of the studio. Deliver an exceptional member experience from arrival through to departure. Resolve member queries and concerns professionally and efficiently. Ensure Front of House standards remain consistently high across every shift. Lead by example, demonstrating outstanding customer service and professionalism.
  • Studio Operations: Support the delivery of smooth daily studio operations. Ensure the studio is clean, organised and operationally ready at all times. Complete daily operational checks and ensure company procedures are followed. Support health & safety compliance and maintain a safe environment for members and team.
  • Commercial Performance: Support the delivery of studio KPIs, including member satisfaction, retention and operational performance. Assist with monitoring studio performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. Help drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership Development: Coach and support the Front of House team during shifts, providing regular feedback and guidance. Support Customer Service Leads (CSLs) in building team capability, confidence and consistency. Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture. Encourage best practice and uphold company values across the team.
  • Recruitment + Onboarding: Support the recruitment process for Front of House team members. Assist with onboarding and training new starters to ensure they are set up for success. Help maintain training standards and ensure team members understand operational procedures and service expectations.
  • Scheduling + Duty Management: Support rota planning and shift coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Act as Duty Manager when required, taking responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the studio. Escalate operational issues appropriately and take ownership of resolving day-to-day challenges.

The Person: We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and enjoys leading by example in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within fitness, hospitality or retail.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable member experiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
  • Confidence making decisions and managing priorities during busy operational periods.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as part of the management rota.
