We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brightwell, United Kingdom. In this role, you will take ownership of structural design projects from conception through completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, safe, and compliant solutions. You will combine analytical expertise with practical problem-solving to ensure every project meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

  • Develop structural concepts and designs in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform comprehensive technical and feasibility studies for proposed projects, analyzing structural viability and sustainability considerations.
  • Conduct detailed structural calculations, load analysis, and modeling using industry-standard software and tools.
  • Prepare and review detailed structural designs using REVIT STRUCTURE, AutoCAD, and structural calculation software.
  • Create comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs), job specifications, and material schedules with precision and clarity.
  • Review and validate shop drawings and technical documentation to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.
  • Coordinate structural designs with architectural, MEP, and other discipline teams, resolving conflicts through innovative alternative solutions.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and procurement teams to support project execution.
  • Provide structural clarification and technical support during construction and execution phases.
  • Monitor field changes and modifications, integrating structural adjustments while maintaining design integrity.
  • Ensure all structural works comply with safety regulations, building codes, and company quality management standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive as-built documentation and technical records for all projects.
  • Report technical risks, constraints, and design modifications to management with transparency and clarity.
  • Support the procurement process for structural materials and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional structural design experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in REVIT STRUCTURE, AutoCAD, and structural calculation software.
  • Demonstrated expertise in steel structural design and analysis.
  • Practical knowledge of construction methods, structural systems, and building techniques.
  • Strong understanding of structural codes, standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and advanced CAD applications.
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards.
  • Experience in sustainable and environmentally conscious structural design.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management standards.
  • Experience with structural software beyond standard calculation tools.
  • Background in project coordination or site supervision.
  • Strong presentation and client communication skills.
