We are looking for a Seasonal HGV Driver to join our Transportation team based in Wymondham. The role will be on a fixed‑term contract starting April 2026 for a minimum of 18 weeks, working 40 hours per week, with pay ranging from £16.00 to £17.00 per hour plus bonuses and overtime. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates for this role.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and traffic management procedures.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and resolve issues.
- Drive a HGV and assist drivers with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment, maintaining written and electronic records.
- Help with the safe and efficient operation of excavators and other heavy equipment, adhering to company policies and procedures, including time‑keeping and attendance.
- Record and report any incidents or accidents on site, maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of equipment and vehicles.
- Assist with the set‑up and breakdown of work sites and carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Full Class C or Class CE driving licence (depending on role) and a valid CPC card.
- Experience working in a similar role such as construction or labouring, with good knowledge of health and safety regulations, strong communication, team working skills, and a current CSCS card.
- Willingness to learn new skills, work in shifts, and be available to work overtime when required.
