As part of our engineering teams, you will support their operations and help them succeed, rather than running their services for them.
What You'll Be Working On
- Taking loveholidays Platform Engineering to the next level
- Empowering engineers with the right tools, processes, and training for self-service needs
- Evolving Google Cloud Platform, GKE, and observability for scalability, reliability, and performance
- Ensuring infrastructure security through DevSecOps practices
- Advancing and maturing FinOps practices
- Enhancing the performance testing capabilities of our systems
Our runtime architecture is based on services hosted on Google Cloud Platform, managed using Infrastructure As Code with Terraform, Atlantis, and Kubernetes. We prioritize observability, employing a monitoring and alerting stack centered around Mimir (Prometheus), Grafana, Loki, and Tempo. Our service mesh, Linkerd, provides uniform observability of all production services. Performance and scalability are key considerations in our software and infrastructure development process, and we encourage the use of the right tools for the job (Java, Go, Rust, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
