Job Description
We're looking for an Environmental Manager to join Kier Design supporting our A417 Missing Link project team based in Gloucester.
Location: Gloucester - site based, with some working from home opportunities.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?
- Leading all environmental management and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to DCO and EMP commitments
- Working collaboratively with designers and construction teams to minimise environmental impacts
- Overseeing the implementation of the project's One Planet Action Plan and promoting sustainable solutions
- Obtaining necessary environmental permits, licences and consents in a timely manner
- Providing guidance, support and training on environmental issues to the wider project team
What are we looking for?
This role of Environmental Manager is great for you if:
- You have a degree in environmental science/sustainability (or equivalent) and are Chartered or a Practitioner member of ISEP working towards Chartership
- You bring demonstrable experience leading environmental management on large construction projects
- You have excellent knowledge of UK environmental legislation and a good understanding of various environmental issues
- You're a confident communicator who can translate technical information clearly to different audiences
- You enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders while being comfortable taking initiative
