Vouch Global is a startup digital marketing agency. We offer a range of services to help global businesses, or those on a mission to generate more customers. Our services include: Creative Services, Paid Media, SEO, Paid Social, PPC, Social Media Management, Website Development and SEO. We predominantly specialise in serving the Hospitality and eCommerce industry.
We are looking for a part-time bookkeeper who understands online marketing, is always one step ahead of their work, loves communicating with people, and is a whiz when it comes to numbers. As our virtual Bookkeeper, you are instrumental in maintaining the financial operations of our organisation. You are detail-oriented, organised and proficient in bookkeeping software. You take initiative, prioritise effectively, and can regularly meet deadlines.
You are happy to come into the London office weekly or bi-weekly. Your duties include:
- Reconciling our company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
- Using hub doc as part of Xero to record company expenses and receipts
- Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by our company Xero
- Payment processing, including employees and independent contractors
- Completing the month-end close-out process & providing financial reports to clients, once reviewed
- Managing income and expenditure accounts
- Documenting transaction details
- Generating our financial reports using income and expenditure data i.e. financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
- Keeping a pulse on our company’s finances based on financial status, informing our senior staff of any important updates or changes in a timely manner
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations; tax planning, tax deduction advice
- Fact-checking accounting data
- Notify senior staff of any accounting errors
- If there are any technical systems glitches, you will research, troubleshoot and resolve
- Experience using online tools like Slack, Google Drive and Zoom
- Using a company email address to communicate with our clients throughout the week
- Using email and slack to communicate with the team throughout the week
- Reviewing cashflow updates
- Supporting with weekly analysis of staff utilisation Vs. Project and Retainer fees
What we look for in a candidate:
- Must be trustworthy, honest, with open communication and flexible availability.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline; or equivalent combined education and work experience, CPA is desirable.
- 2+ years experience with bookkeeping for small businesses, virtual workspace experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, with performance that meets industry benchmarks in accounting best practices.
- High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate complex data in a clear way.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
