Based in Moxley, this permanent, full-time post seeks a Group Health & Safety Manager to lead strategy across a Midlands business. The successful candidate will shape safety culture, advise at every level, and ensure compliance with legislation and best practice. My Midlands based client are looking for a Group Health & Safety Manager to join the company on a full-time & permanent basis. This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who can influence at all levels, promote a positive safety culture and ensure the highest standards of compliance and best practice.
You’ll be responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of Health & Safety across all areas of the business, ensuring consistent standards, policies, procedures and safe working practices are implemented and maintained.
Duties
- Lead and develop the Group Health & Safety strategy Drive continuous improvement across multiple sites and operations
- Set Health & Safety standards, objectives and KPIs and monitor performance against them.
- Manage and develop the Health & Safety team Lead investigations, audits, risk assessments and compliance activities Partner with senior leadership, operational teams and key stakeholders
- Chair Health & Safety meetings and oversee action plans
- Build effective relationships with Directors, managers and key stakeholders.
- Liaise with regulators, consultants and other relevant bodies where required.
Key Skills
- Proven experience leading Health & Safety activity, preferably across multiple sites or businesses.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, compliance and audit requirements.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge effectively.
- Experience managing and developing teams with a collaborative leadership style. Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to drive improvement and deliver results.
- Ability to provide practical, commercially aware Health & Safety advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
