This full‑time, mobile position offers a salary between £40,000 and £46,000, depending on experience, plus a fully expensed van. Your week involves planned maintenance, reactive breakdown resolution, fault finding, and remedial installations across a varied commercial portfolio. A sensible approach to working hours

The standard hours are 8am–5pm, but this isn't a role where you're expected to remain on site until 5pm simply because that's what's written on the contract.

Depending on your work area and workload, engineers will generally finish on site around 3pm–4pm and then travel home.

The business takes a practical approach to travel and understands that good engineers shouldn't be kept on site unnecessarily.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for maintaining, fault finding and repairing a range of commercial mechanical and building services systems.

Your Workload Will Include

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns
  • Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis
  • HIU servicing, breakdowns and fault finding
  • Commercial heating and hot water systems
  • Boilers and associated controls
  • Pumps and pressurisation units
  • Expansion vessels
  • Calorifiers
  • Plate heat exchangers
  • Water softeners
  • LTHW and CHW systems
  • AHUs and FCUs
  • Supply and extract ventilation
  • Motors, valves and actuators
  • Mechanical plant and associated pipework
  • New mechanical installations
  • Commissioning and testing
  • Remedial works identified during PPM visits

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need strong experience in commercial mechanical engineering / building services and be comfortable working independently across different sites.

Ideally, You’ll Have Experience With

  • Commercial heating and hot water systems
  • Boilers, pumps and pressurisation systems
  • Primary and secondary heating circuits
  • LTHW / CHW systems
  • Mechanical plant rooms
  • AHUs, FCUs and ventilation
  • Pumps, motors, valves and actuators
  • PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Mechanical fault findingRemedial works and installations
