About The Role
This full-time Employment Solicitor position in Birmingham offers a salary of £65,000 to £75,000, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate, ideally with one to five years PQE, will advise businesses and senior individuals on a broad range of employment issues. Responsibilities include drafting contracts, policies and procedures, managing tribunal claims throughout their lifecycle, and supporting the employment aspects of corporate transactions. Strong technical ability, client relationship skills, and a collaborative approach are essential. Working alongside experienced lawyers, the appointed solicitor will handle meaningful work from the outset while contributing to the team's continued growth.

The Role
- Advising businesses and senior individuals on a broad range of employment issues and strategic matters
- Drafting and reviewing employment documentation, including contracts, policies and procedures
- Taking responsibility for employment tribunal matters through their lifecycle
- Advising on employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions
- Assisting clients with data protection issues, including subject access requests
- Keeping clients informed and building relationships that extend beyond individual matters
- Developing sector expertise and staying ahead of changes in employment law
- Getting involved in business development, including seminars, client events and written content
Skills Required
- Applications are sought from Employment Solicitors with between 1-5 Years PQE
- Experience across a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work
- Strong drafting, communication and organisational skills
- A genuine interest in understanding clients and their businesses
- The confidence to take ownership of matters while knowing when to seek support
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An enthusiasm for developing your career and contributing to the wider team
