In the Manufacturing team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you’ll help power iconic electric cars. WHAT TO EXPECT

- Developing and optimising welding processes across battery, EDU and sub-assembly manufacturing to ensure quality and repeatability
- Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve welding-related issues and drive continuous improvement
- Creating and maintaining welding standards, procedures and validation plans to support new product introduction and production
- Supporting weld inspection strategies, including destructive and non-destructive testing, ensuring compliance and product integrity
- Collaborating across engineering, operations and quality teams to deliver robust, high-performing manufacturing solutions
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to push boundaries and embrace change, there are several skills and experiences you’ll need to succeed here, including:
- Demonstrating strong expertise in welding processes such as MIG, TIG, resistance spot and laser welding within a manufacturing environment
- Applying knowledge of automated and robotic welding systems and understanding of welding metallurgy, defects and inspection methods
- Understanding quality tools and standards such as PFMEA, control plans and relevant ISO or industry compliance frameworks
- Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and CAD data to support process development and validation
- Holding a degree in Engineering, Materials Science or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience, with professional welding qualifications advantageous
