This role will work as part of the maintenance site services team at Solihull and is responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective tasks on mechanical plant and equipment across the Solihull estate.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As the Reliability & Maintenance Engineer you'll:

  • Breakdown Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with equipment malfunctions, ensuring quick restoration of operations.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process systems to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, contributing to a knowledge base for future use.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices when performing maintenance tasks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of more efficient and reliable maintenance strategies.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

  • Indentured Apprenticeship, Craftsman Certificate, or a Level 3 in one of the following - BTEC, NVQ, OCR Cambridge Nationals or National Diploma
  • Good experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance, working knowledge of mechanical plant engineering and building services activities
  • Knowledge of company procedures regarding safety COSHH and ergonomics
  • Good knowledge of QPS & WES, and standardized work processes
  • Good knowledge of various Heating and Ventilation Systems
  • Good knowledge of the TEM maintenance system
  • Working knowledge of mechanical plant engineering and building services activities
