This role will be part of the BIW Reliability Department, responsible for the delivery of Reliability growth across BIW operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the facility performs in line with installed design Technical Availability, developing and implementing Reliability growth plans, focusing on a level of continuous improvement to support Maintenance Operations. In your role you will be required to liaise with key stakeholders from within the JLR and OEM community.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As the Reliability and Maintenance Engineer, you'll support with the planning and procurement of training for all BIW Maintenance as well as this you'll:
- Ensure that MTTR and MTBF data is available and analysed to deliver Technical Availability improvements in line with Maintenance KPI’s
- Implement Reliability growth plans to support Technical Availability improvement
- Support the development of Condition Based Monitoring and Predictive strategies for Body Construction Manufacturing systems
- Ensure PM schedules are adhered to, analysed and backed up with R&M data
- Work with the AME and maintenance teams to develop, propose and implement R&M data collection and tracking systems
- Willingness to learn the TPM model and be part of the implementation journey
- Lead the TPM activities on the shopfloor with the production and maintenance teams
- Support with the planning and procurement of training for all BIW Maintenance & Stampings
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Knowledge of Maintenance Operations
- Knowledge of Reliability and Maintainability principles
- Led Technical improvement activities through Kaizen approaches
- Technical (mechanical and electrical) automotive engineering skills, ideally in a large, automated environment
- Demonstrable experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Demonstrable experience in Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint)
