Working in Manufacturing at JLR, you'll be the hands-on expert who brings innovation to life. In this role you will assist in conducting various tasks associated with environmental and energy controls to meet the site's environmental regulatory compliance obligations. You will also be a key driving force for helping the site meet its sustainability goals in line with business requirements.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, no two tasks are the same. With lots of projects and relationships to build with people across the business and beyond, it’s a challenge that will help your career grow within an iconic organisation. Here’s what to expect:

  • Coordinate site environmental activities, ensuring facilities and services meet business needs while supporting performance within the environmental framework.
  • Deliver energy efficiency projects, support low carbon technology deployment, and contribute to site and business carbon management planning.
  • Maintain EMS KPIs, improve EMS processes, lead environmental meetings, and produce environmental content for the site.
  • Manage the site’s Combustion Permit, ensure compliance with legal and non-legal environmental obligations, and oversee environmental incident tracking.
  • Lead ISO14001 certification activities, provide evidence for audits, and conduct internal and external environmental audits.
  • Liaise with wider environmental, sustainability, and energy forums to ensure alignment and share best practice.
  • Lead metering, monitoring, and network improvement projects to enhance environmental and energy performance across the site.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

  • Experience in site services or environmental management including estates, maintenance, or environmental operations.
  • Technical background in environmental or estates management with practical understanding of operational site systems.
  • Ability to resolve constraints through root cause analysis demonstrating measurable improvements and problem-solving capability.
  • Contract management experience overseeing suppliers, service providers, and performance delivery.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems especially ISO14001, EMS metrics, and compliance frameworks.
  • Relevant technical education engineering or science HNC (or higher), with strong numeracy.
  • Strong digital and communication skills.
