As a Skilled CNC Machinist, you'll manufacture high-quality components that support the wider business. Working with advanced CNC machinery, you'll be part of a team focused on quality, innovation and continuous improvement, with plenty of opportunity to learn, grow and contribute.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You'll help deliver engineering solutions that make a real impact across the business. Working alongside skilled colleagues, you'll support manufacturing excellence through precision machining and continuous improvement.
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machining centres to manufacture components to specification
- Creating complex work-holding setups and selecting appropriate tooling, speeds and feeds
- Interpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing plans to produce high-quality components
- Inspecting completed work using manual measuring equipment to ensure drawing compliance
- Identifying process improvements and supporting wider workshop activities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, you'll have:
- Completed a Government Approved Apprenticeship, Craftsman Certificate, or a Level 3 in one of the following - BTEC, NVQ, OCR Cambridge Nationals or National Diploma in CNC Machining
- CNC Milling experience along with CNC programming, setting and operation
- Experience of programming CNC machines from technical and engineering drawings
- Experience of planning manufacturing methods and inspecting work against specification requirements
- It is advantageous if you can bring experience of Hurco CNC machines and offline programming
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application, as this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
