We're looking for a clientâfacing financial lead who'll help small businesses make smart financial decisions. As the goâto finance lead for a portfolio of SME clients, you'll bring accounting experience, strong systems knowâhow, and a clear sense of ownership. You'll help clients not just report numbers but understand and use them to grow.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee endâtoâend financial operations for a dedicated portfolio of SME clients.
- Lead regular client calls to review reports, forecasts, and discuss financial priorities.
- Manage and mentor Finance Partners, supporting highâquality delivery and team growth.
- Build and maintain financial tools like dashboards, reporting packs, and KPI models.
- Improve internal workflows and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
This is a fullâtime role with flexible hours, but most clients work on UK (GMT+1) or New York (GMT-4) time.
To excel in this role, you need:
- Strong grasp of doubleâentry and accrualâbased accounting.
- Handsâon experience owning endâtoâend finance in a small team.
- Solid progression from data entry/bookkeeping to management accounting/control.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Confidence working across finance software like Xero and Google Workspace.

- Past experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
- Comfortable solving messy or complex financial challenges.
