Autism Parenting Magazine is a rapidly growing publishing company, supporting parents of autistic children with practical, expert-backed strategies they can use right away. We publish a magazine monthly, run major campaigns throughout the year, including our Autism Parenting Summits (biannual) and our video-based membership subscription. With rapidly rising rates of autism and APM positioned as the global leader in the production of expert advice, we have a requirement for a marketing growth lead to take APM to the next level.
APM thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Our global, remote-first team spans the UK, USA, Philippines, South Africa, and Eastern Europe and is growing rapidly. We use the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to maintain alignment, accountability, and focus. Our work is demanding, but it’s incredibly rewarding to improve the quality of life for our customers. We meet virtually each week to foster transparency, collaboration, and accountability. We use tools like Hubstaff to maintain clarity on time tracking and progress.
Team consists of:
- 2 Marketing Operations Specialists (newsletter and sales promotion scheduling, asset production, event organization, monthly marketing activities and organic social media posting/cadence)
- PPC Consultant
- 1 B2B Account Manager (supporting channel; lightweight oversight and accountability)
As Head of Growth Marketing, you’ll lead revenue generation, own marketing campaigns, and manage our existing marketing team. You will be accountable for the overall growth marketing strategy and execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Driving Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue across all channels.
- PPC Strategy & Optimization: Oversee PPC campaigns, manage a PPC consultant, and, at times, directly manage ad accounts to optimize CAC for scalable growth.
- Refining ICP & Messaging: Refine our core message, ideal customer profile (ICP), and marketing creatives to effectively target diverse age groups and care needs within the autism spectrum.
- Email Marketing Excellence: Enhance our email marketing strategies, copy, and delivery to improve engagement and conversion rates.
- SEO, Organic Social, Affiliate, & Offline Growth: Improve lead generation and subscription sales through development of our SEO, organic social, affiliate and offline marketing efforts.
- B2B Sales Support: Coach and assist our Account Manager on cold prospecting copy and iteratively improve our advertising sales pipeline.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
This is a full-time role, UK-based, with some overlap with US hours when needed for commercial or supplier meetings. You’re a growth-oriented marketing leader, coach, and individual contributor with the ambition to build a team that grows with the success of the magazine.
Requirements:
- Proven experience growing a subscription/membership or direct-response offer
- Excellent copywriting experience
- Strong understanding of paid media strategy
- Experience guiding and producing creative (briefs, angles, creatives)
- Experience improving funnels (landing pages, email flows, onboarding/lifecycle)
- Comfortable running launches (summits/webinars/events/challenges)
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data and split testing to drive decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with a remote team
You’re a Great Fit If…
- You’re a direct-response marketing growth operator (offers, objections, proof, conversion)
- You’re a doer-leader who loves shipping to deadlines
- You can manage a PPC consultant and push for accountability
- You can lead juniors by giving clear direction, templates, and feedback
- You understand that words matter when marketing to overwhelmed parents — and you can sell with empathy
- You can build secondary channels methodically without losing focus on core KPIs
- You can think on your feet, outside the box, learn and figure things out, and do what it takes to get the job done on time
This Role Is NOT For You If…
- You only want high-level strategy and delegate execution
- You’re primarily a brand marketer with no performance accountability
- You avoid numbers, testing cadence, or difficult conversations and prioritization decisions
- You are uncomfortable leading and managing a team while maintaining accountability and standards
- You struggle with providing constructive feedback to the team and leadership team peers
What’s in it for you?
- $3,000 - $4,500 per month*
- Full-time, fully remote role
- 21 days paid time off
- Sick pay
- Company performance-based bonus
*Please note that this is a gross salary and that you are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. We kindly ask you to apply only if you are happy to work remotely as an independent contractor.
