Position Overview

Still Life Stylists at ASOS are highly organised, visually-driven and detail-focused creative specialists with a strong eye for composition, product storytelling and commercial impact. As one of our Still Life Stylists, you will work closely with Senior Stylists and Styling Managers at ASOS Creative Studios. You will support department efficiency, whilst thinking commercially and innovatively to help deliver the best e-commerce, social, AMG and Campaign assets in the industry for our fashion-loving customer. You have the ability to be a part of and support a team with a creative, strategic and operational mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly into the Senior Stylists, contributing to the day-to-day running of the Still Life styling sets.
  • Primarily consisting of styling in Creative Studios to support product page enrichment of 1000+ products per day.
  • Creating compelling flat lays, hanger shots, elevated product sets and detail-focused imagery.
  • Styling accessories, beauty and lifestyle products with strong attention to texture, proportion, balance and scale.
  • Ensuring they are represented in the best way true to our ASOS aesthetic.
  • Styling from time to time on shoots for social, AMG, Campaigns and Homepage.
  • Pulling props and selecting styling elements that enhance the product while remaining true to the ASOS aesthetic.
  • Maintaining visual consistency across all product categories.
  • Ensuring creative quality and volumetric KPIs are adhered to.
  • Identifying opportunities to elevate still life styling standards while improving studio efficiency.
  • Adapting quickly to seasonal trends, new brand directions and varied shoot briefs.
  • Building strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio and production teams.
  • Contributing to team and departmental meetings.
  • Working closely with your Seniors and Management team to successfully deliver the department strategy.
  • Supporting the team in following established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategy.
  • Working with the Seniors and Managers to support the training and development of new full-timers.
  • Encouraging the team to be authentic, brave and creative and to follow all company and departmental strategies, leading by example.
  • Demonstrating excellent brand awareness by identifying areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competitors when required to ensure we are market leaders.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail with a solid background in still life styling.
  • Ability to adapt and execute different styling trends and shoot types.
  • Capability to translate styling trends into our shoots whilst maintaining the ASOS aesthetic.
  • Be highly organised and pro-active in decision making and problem solving.
  • Have a can-do attitude with the ability to work well as part of the team.
  • Strong organisation, prioritising and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to be able to multi-task and think creatively as a still life stylist.
