We have an exciting opportunity to join our People Team here at Gousto. As a People Services Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, consistent and compliant people experience across the business. Reporting to the People Services Manager, you will support both salaried and weekly populations, partnering closely with managers, People Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth and effective employee lifecycle processes.
This is a varied and impactful role within a team that supports our entire Gousto population. You will act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, lead on process improvements to enhance employee experience and automation, and provide guidance on complex or escalated queries. Success in this role looks like delivering seamless people processes, building strong relationships across the business, and continuously improving how we support our team.
Core Responsibilities- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding experience for salaried employees, ensuring a seamless and high-quality journey in partnership with People Services Assistants.
- Manage the end-to-end process for engaging contractors and freelancers, ensuring compliance and clear guidance for hiring managers.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to resolve contract queries and support an effective pre-boarding process.
- Manage employee lifecycle changes including contractual updates and family leave processes in line with legislation and company policy.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including probation, absence and flexible working requests.
- Conduct exit interviews, capture insights and identify themes to inform improvements.
- Partner with People Partners and ER teams to ensure a consistent and fair approach to employee relations across the business.
- Review and enhance People Services processes to improve employee experience, increase efficiency and ensure legal compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation including contracts, engagement documentation, job descriptions and organisational charts.
- Deliver operational HR support, ad-hoc training and administrative support as required, including occasional cross-functional support to the Office team.
- Bring strong generalist HR knowledge gained in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
- Build trusted and credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Work collaboratively to achieve shared goals and contribute positively to team outcomes.
- Take a proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving, using sound judgement in ambiguous situations.
- Communicate clearly and confidently, adapting your style to different audiences.
- Remain resilient and adaptable in a changing and high-pressure environment.
- Organise and prioritise your workload effectively to meet deadlines.
- Use Google Workspace tools confidently, including Sheets with formulas and pivot tables.
- Feel comfortable using HR systems and analysing data to identify trends and produce reports.
- CIPD qualification is beneficial but not essential.
