Activities
The job holder responsibilities are:
- Acting as FOPS Technical Authority for all Subsea Production system issues.
- Ensure the FOPS requirements are implemented in the design of all subsea equipment.
- Participate in the design reviews of subsea equipment.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT) to confirm that multi-vendor subsea components physically fit and communicate together.
- Prepare Subsea Operating and Emergency Operating Procedures: Write clear step-by-step procedures for well start-ups, SAPL activiteis, shutdowns, chemical flushes, and SCSSV operations.
- Supports the Maintenance team for the subsea equipment maintenance engineering.
- Acting as CPY representative during offshore operations.
- Map Subsea Asset Hierarchy: Develop the structural framework (Inspection and Monitoring Programs, IMR) for all subsea architecture, including trees, manifolds, templates, flowlines, and umbilical.
- Establish Subsea Reliability Strategies: Run sessions explicitly focused on deepwater failure modes, high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT) challenges, and marine growth.
- Support Flow Assurance Strategy in the development of operational guidelines to manage hydrate formation, wax deposition, and scale buildup inside the subsea network.
- Create Subsea Control System Protocols: Build the operating and troubleshooting procedures for the Subsea Control Modules (SCM).
- Develop ROV Intervention Tooling Plans: Ensure all subsea equipment is designed with standard ROV interfaces and verify that specialized ROV tools are sourced and ready for future repairs.
- Optimize Subsea Spare Parts Inventory: Identify critical, long‑lead subsea spares that must be manufactured and stored onshore.
- Review Umbilical and Flowline Preservation: Oversee the fluid filling, pressurization, and monitoring of umbilical and pipelines while they await final commissioning on the seabed.
- Configure Subsea Data and Alarm Systems: Set up the data acquisition baselines, alarm limits, and real‑time monitoring structures for downhole parameters.
- Verify Vendor Handover Documentation: Secure all specialized subsea data books, material certificates, pressure test records, and "as-installed" seabed layouts from the construction team.
- Participate in Operational Readiness Reviews: Collaborate with the wider offshore operations team to ensure the processing facilities are fully equipped to receive and control the subsea production stream.
- Ensure proper handover of SAPL from Project to Operations. SAPL operation, inspection and monitoring scope preparation and execution.
HSE Responsibilities
- Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system (plans, procedures and specifications)
- Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour about HSEQ rules & requirements, as well as Company Ethics & “Code of Conduct” policy.
- Participate in Project reviews and make recommendations based on relevant experience.
- Promote HSE culture within the team and ensure HSE related topics are treated as top priorities in the discipline (Derogation, HAZOP, HAZID, HSE action plan, PRs actions, etc.)
- Ensure HSE standard of Contractors enrolled in maintenance disciplines are in line with TotalEnergies rules & referential.
- Participate and assist in the development and implementation of Environmental management and Energy efficiency System processes.
Authority to suspend activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment, and notify forthwith the responsible supervisor
Qualifications
- Level / Diploma: BA/MA degree in Subsea Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Experience: minimum 10 years in Oil and Gas industry including a minimum of 5 years in Subsea Operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: adept at interaction with variety of contracts, including peers within a multi-disciplinary team, management, vendors and industry partners.
- Other required Competencies: Management of contractors/subcontractors, Strong HSE leadership.
- Fluent in English.
- Localization: Europe (Detailed Engineering) and Baku/Site (Execution).
