We’re recruiting for a Strategic Initiatives Manager to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary plus 12% car allowance. Join our Retail Retirement team as a Strategic Initiatives Manager, where you’ll help shape and deliver the strategic vision for Retail Annuities and Home Finance. This is a high-impact role, working closely with senior leaders and teams across the business to support commercial priorities, customer needs, operational effectiveness and strong governance.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing people together, using insight to guide decisions and turning strategy into clear, practical action. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where inclusive thinking, strong stakeholder engagement and a genuine focus on good customer outcomes are central to how we work.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shaping the Retail Retirement strategy and key initiatives in partnership with the leadership team
  • Building insight into the market, wider environment and customer needs to inform strategic decisions
  • Developing strategic content for senior stakeholders, committees and planning forums
  • Working with colleagues across the business to embed the strategic vision clearly and consistently
  • Monitoring the performance of strategic initiatives against financial targets and business objectives
  • Establishing and facilitating effective governance across key meetings, forums and decision-making processes
  • Managing the preparation of papers, minutes and action tracking for important business forums
  • Ensuring customer outcomes and Conduct Risk principles are considered in day-to-day activity

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience in financial services, ideally within pensions, retirement, annuities or home finance (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of product and proposition design, product management and governance
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment relevant to pensions and retirement markets
  • Experience developing and delivering product or business strategy
  • Confidence using data, market awareness and insight to support business decisions
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • A degree, MBA or comparable practical experience would be helpful, but is not essential
