We are currently recruiting for a Yard Shunter to join our transport team in Shirebrook. This is a key role responsible for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within the transport yard, supporting warehouse operations and ensuring trailers are positioned correctly for loading.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely manoeuvre vehicles between bays within the transport yard and across site delivery points.
- Operate a range of vehicles, including shunt tugs and HGVs.
- Position trailers and containers on loading bays for live and scheduled loading.
- Work closely with Warehouse and Transport teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Liaise with third-party and service provider drivers.
- Ensure vehicles are available for inspection and maintenance as required.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.
